My journey with plants began in high school, where botany captured my heart so much that I willingly took the subject twice. Fast forward almost two decades later, 2021 in Las Vegas, I took a leap of faith to open Lauren's Leaves - a small family business selling mostly aroids. The dream of a greenhouse on Texas land soon called, leading my family to a new home and amazing plant community. It was there that i found a deep affection for Hoyas that steered me away from aroids. In March of 2024, life's unexpected turns brought us back to the desert of Vegas, where I had to adapt quickly to sustain my business within the confines of a 500 square-foot space in my home. Despite challenges and uncertainties, my love for plants, especially Hoyas, remains unwavering. Watching my children witness my perseverance as I chase my dreams is my driving force. Today, Lauren's Leaves thrives in Henderson, NV, and soon, we will extend our roots back to my beloved Houston, Texas. My partnership with the incredible Kristen Sutcliffe, born from shared enthusiasm and wild adventures, has been a true blessing. Alongside Mandi, my devoted personal assistant, I continue to learn from industry giants and a supportive community that uplifts me in times of need. To all who have been part of my journey, I am profoundly grateful. The path ahead is just beginning, filled with boundless growth, love, and the evergreen spirit of Lauren's Leaves.
